Phase One of Patriot Center Renovations Complete
New Box Office Centralizes Ticket Sales at West Entry

Final Two Phases to be Completed Early Next Year

Fast approaching its twenty-third year in operation, the Patriot Center is undergoing a $10 million renovation with the first phase of construction completed this week. Phase one of the renovations included the construction of a brand new box office at the West entry, centralizing all ticket sales operations. The new box office is located in close proximity to Braddock Road and features six windows inside the new box office lobby, as well as two outside windows. The original layout of the arena included a main box office located at the administrative entrance with three event-only box offices located at the North, South and West entries. The first show at the arena with the brand new centralized box office located at the West entry will be The Wiggles on August 20.

“We wanted to direct our box office operations from one main location in order to better serve our patrons. As a result, the new box office became a key component to the first phase of renovations for the building,” says Patriot Center General Manager Barry Geisler. “As we move into phase two and three of the renovations, we’ll see an improved operations from the standpoint of concessions and restroom facilities.”

Currently under construction is phase two, which involves two brand new concession stands and two bathrooms at the North entry. Two additional concession stands and two bathrooms will be built during phase three at the South entry, as well as a cosmetic facelift for the concourse inclusive of new paint and ceiling tiles. Renovations are slated for completion during the early part of 2009.
