The INVASION is COMING! Brace yourself for the biggest professional mixed martial arts (MMA) Cage Fighting event to ever strike the DC metropolitan area as UltimateVIP International and the John Lewis Entertainment Group proudly present UWC – INVASION, Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Patriot Center at 7:00 p.m. The ten card matchup will feature a main event between Pete “The Secret Weapon” Spratt (19-11-0) from San Antonio, TX and Jason “Live Wire” Von Flue (12-8-1) from Fresno, CA.

More than just a regular MMA show, UWC (Ultimate Warrior Challenge) – INVASION promises a truly monumental, star-studded event with top professional MMA -- Extreme Cage Fighting matches along with special guest appearances by some of the sport’s most recognizable fighters and area celebrities.

Headed by Maryland-native S. Marcello Foran, UltimateVIP International is an elite lifestyle and entertainment company providing everything VIP and beyond. The Florida-based company also specializes in creative marketing and event production.

Lewis, one of MMA’s true pioneers as fighter, trainer, coach and promoter, is best known for helping revolutionize the sport from its early underground infancy to its current mainstream dominance -- “The Fight Club - Meets the Night Club.” Inside the cage, he was the first MMA/UFC fighter to dominate a Gracie (breaking the myth of the famed first family of MMA) and has trained and cornered legends such as Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, and Randy Couture, among others. Lewis is also a prominent promoter/event coordinator in the entertainment industry know for high-profile celebrity events staged in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Miami Beach, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City.

The battles inside the cage will feature elite fighters from across the country and world, including Ultimate Fighting Championship® (UFC), Bodog, International Fight League (IFL) and Pride veterans. UWC will also give opportunities to the best fighters from the region’s premier gyms including Lloyd Irvin’s Martial Arts, Ground Control Academy, One Spirit Martial Arts, and top UFC referee’s Mario Yamasaki Academy.
