Just days after postponing the first dates of her "Backwoods Barbie" tour, Dolly Parton is excited to announce the initial rescheduled dates. The tour - in support of Dolly’s BACKWOODS BARBIE album, due out February 26 on Dolly Records - will now begin April 22 in Pittsburgh. The show originally scheduled for the Patriot Center on March 11th will now be rescheduled for April 28th. Tickets will be honored for the new date.

"Hey, thanks for being patient," says Dolly. "I'm mending very nicely and will be fit as a fiddle soon. And I'll not only have the fiddle, but the rest of the band as well. We can't wait to hit the road for our "Backwoods Barbie" tour. We're anxious for you to see our new show and play you some of the new songs. Look forward to seeing you soon."

Last week, Parton was instructed by doctors to rest her back for six to eight weeks and she is expected to fully recuperate in time for the April 22 kick-off. Her upcoming European tour (which kicks off June 13 in Sweden) was not affected.
