Washington Sports & Entertainment, L.P. is a multi-faceted
organization managing sports and entertainment events, a professional
sports team and two arenas. Based in Washington, D.C., WSELP consists
of five major divisions: the Washington Wizards of the NBA; Verizon
Center, the state-of-the-art, 20,000-seat sports and entertainment
facility located in Washington, D.C.; Ticketmaster, the Washington-Baltimore
ticketing service; Musicentre Productions, an in-house concert promoter;
and the management division which oversees The George Mason University
Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.
Gary Handleman - President of Facilities
With 36 years of experience with Washington Sports & Entertainment,
Gary Handleman exudes expertise in the arena management field. He
spent his first years with Washington Sports & Entertainment
in several capacities: Director of Operations and Director of Arena
Administration at USAir Arena, then Vice President and Executive
Director of Facilities and Senior Vice President of Facilities for
Washington Sports & Entertainment. His current position is President

Barry Geisler – General Manager, Patriot Center
Barry Geisler began working for Washington Sports & Entertainment
after relocating to the Washington, D.C. area in July 1985 from
Long Beach, CA to work for Gary Handleman at the Patriot Center.
The Patriot Center opened in October 1985, and it was the first
university arena managed by a private company. Together, The George
Mason University and Washington Sports & Entertainment were
